Listen as several San Francisco Bay area teenagers explore spirituality and religion. They seek rituals and religious songs that are blessings in these modern times. The radio montage evolved from performances in the churches, schools and neighborhoods of Oakland, California, of a production entitled "The Black Girl In Search of God in East Oakland," a modern stage adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's 1932 novella.
